West Chester Pet Resort’s Friendly Staff
Jocelyn has been with WCPR since October 2016. She started as a Receptionist and in July 2018 she was promoted to the Resort Operations Manager. She is responsible for the guest and client care/experience as well as for some of the great pics/videos you may find on our FaceBook page or other social mediums.
Believe it or not she prefers animals to people, although you’d know that talking to her. She is passionate about the bond between pets and their people. She has a zoo at home that consists of dogs, cats, a box turtle, fish and a gerbil. When she’s not working she would rather be hiking or sleeping.
And one thing you would NEVER guess about her is she is terrified of butterflies and moths.
Cheyanne has always had a love for animals since she was little. She grew up with a lot of different pets from dogs and cats to snakes and lizards! As she got older she knew she wanted to work with animals as a career and began with volunteering at the Richmond SPCA. When she found an ad asking for a Kennel Attendant at West Chester Pet Resort, she jumped at the chance to be able to cater to pets, something she already does with her two Beagles at home. She was promoted to Shift Lead in May 2018.
Cheyanne is always eager to learn new and exciting things and hopes to experience all that the animal care career has to offer!
Morgan developed her love for training in 2009 when she began showing Lily, her Border Collie/Husky mix in Obedience and Agility competitions in her hometown of Bloomington, Indiana. Throughout her first year of training, Morgan realized just how deep the bond between human and dog can be. That is what inspired her to continue training. Morgan and Lily have won many awards and titles together, such as Reserve Grand Champion in 4-H Obedience, Class Champion in Agility, Community and Urban Canine Good Citizen, and multiple trick dog titles!
Upon moving to Virginia in 2013, Morgan began teaching group training classes. Here, she realized just how rewarding it is to assist others in reaching their training goals and to help them have a more enjoyable life with their pets. Additionally, Morgan adopted a young Beagle mix, Blake, in 2014. Blake instantly became her side-kick and training “demonstration dog.” He has the very important job of showing other dogs (and their humans!!) what a behavior should look like so people can visualize their goals. He is also a registered Therapy Dog and regularly visits hospitals and schools to bring joy into the world. Together, Blake and Morgan have earned all three CGC titles, Expert trick dog titles, and multiple first place scores in Rally and Obedience competitions.
Morgan loves to further her knowledge and is constantly reading up on pet training literature. All of her methods are force free, fear free, and backed by science. She can teach basic manners and obedience, competition prep, ticks, therapy dog prep, and so much more! She also specializes in behavioral “rehab” so your reactive dog can one day enjoy being around other pups as well.
Her pups are, officially, Lilybadilly CGCA CGCU TKA ETD and Shake-N-Blake CGCA CGCU RN THDN TKA ETD. We can help your pets get credentials, too!
Chloe (affectionately also known as Cleo) has been with the Resort for over 2 years. She came to use through the Chesterfield County Technical Veterinary Science Honors program.
She has been a pivotal team member working both in the front and the back of the Resort. She’s originally from Gloucester, Virgina. Her passion for animals as well as the opportunity to build lasting relationships with both clients and pets is what drew her to West Chester Pet Resort.
One of her favorite aspects of her role here is to be able to give a positive report to the client about their pet’s stay, i.e. how’d they do on their temperament test, did they get in the pool, they really started to open up with the staff or other pets, etc. Chloe has 2 pets, Biscuit (8 years old) and Beast (3 years old).
When she’s not here working at the Resort she likes to read, do crafting, go to amusement parks or anything Halloween related.
Kyle has been with us since December 2018 and was promoted to Shift Lead in August 2019.
He enjoys working with animals and getting to know the family’s that belong to our furry friends. He has 2 cats, Hades and Apollo, as well as one dog named Roscoe.

You’ve never guess that he practices krav maga for that last 5-6 years.
Wes grew up in Sunbury, North Carolina and has been a part of our team since July 2018.
He chose to work at WCPR because he loves dogs and is passionate about trying to make each dog his best friend. He has 1 dog, JR. When he’s not working he can be found walking JR at the park or playing video games.
One thing you might never know about Wes is that he broke his back several years ago – thank goodness your better, Wes!
Lisa grew up in Charlottesville, Virgina and has been a part of our team since May 2019. Dogs and cats have always been a fascination with her and what ultimately made her decide to apply to WCPR. Her greatest thrill working at WCPR is seeing the animals flourish and make friends.
She has and American Bulldog, William as well as two kitty cats, Marilyn and Johnson.
When she’s not working she enjoys going out with family and friends.
One thing you might never guess about Lisa is that she placed FIRST PLACE in a couple of archery competitions! WOW! Congratulations, Lisa.
Cyann grew up in Hinton, West Virginia and has been with us since July 2019. She was drawn to WCPR because she’s always loved working with animals. She’d like one day to go to Veterinary school and is hoping this will give her more experience and be a good stepping stone to getting there.
Cyann has one dog, Del. She loves taking her dog hiking and playing video games.
Something you might never guess about Cyann is that she can play 6 different instruments and did bullriding when she lived in West Virginia. Ride ’em cowgirl!
Taylor (aka “T2”) is from Chester, Virginia and has been one of the WCPR team for as long as he can remember. Working at WCPR has kept him very busy for the past few summers but he works with us part-time during the school year. He is a current student of the Chesterfield County Technical Center Culinary Program. His lifelong dream is to be an Executive Chief – he wants one day to own a restaurant with his mom too.
He loves building the trust with new pets as well as telling pet parents how their fur-baby is doing during their stay.
When Taylor is not working you’ll find him playing video games, experimenting in the kitchen with new recipes or spending time with his girlfriend.
Rey grew up in Bronx, New York and has been with WCPR since March 2019. He came to WCPR because he loves animals and helping them.
He has 3 pit bulls, Bella, Zeus and Sampson.
He’d like to eventually become a Pit Bull breeder.
Nashely (pronounced Na-shelly) grew up in the Dominican Republic and has been a Client Services Coordinator with WCPR since June 2019. She wanted to work here because she loves animals and has always wanted an opportunity to work with them.
She enjoys interacting with clients and getting to know their pets.
Nashely has one dog named Nemo. When she’s not working she enjoys hiking and spending time with her family.
She also loves to paint, dance and listen to music.
Dana (pronounced Dan-a btw) is originally from the great state of Texas. She has been with WCPR since August 2019.
She loves animals and caring for pets as well as making them happy. She has 2 pets, Izzy and Oso.
When she’s not at that front desk of the Resort she is spending time with her family, hiking or going to the beach.
You’d never know it when meeting her but she served 11 years in the Army as a Combat Veteran. Thanks for your service, Dana!
